Summer 2025

Get Bent! A Look at Our Jam-Packed Summer (and Beyond!)

Hey folks, it's Mark here from The Badly Bent, and I've been looking over our upcoming performance schedule on the website (thebadlybent.com/performances), and let me tell you, it's getting me all kinds of excited! We've got a fantastic string of dates lined up, and I wanted to give you a little personal peek into what's coming up and what we're looking forward to most.

First off, May has been a blast. We kicked things off with a fantastic evening Live at the Tangled Horn on May 23rd. There's nothing quite like playing outdoors with the smell of brews and good food in the air, and that crowd was just incredible. It's always a joy to connect with you all in such a relaxed setting. It was awesome seeing so many friends and family join us for our first gig on their fantastic back patio. Thanks, Seth!

Looking ahead, June is shaping up to be a real treat. We're heading back to the great outdoor stage at Mancos Brewery on June 6 and then returning to the beautiful back patio of Dalton Ranch clubhouse on June 8th. For those of you who've been with us for a while, you know what I mean when I say it's "just like the olden days!" There's a real nostalgia to playing there, and we always feel right at home. Then, on June 14th, we're bringing our high-energy bluegrass to The Nugget, near Purgatory Ski area. That place is one of the most fun bars around, and we're ready to get everyone up and moving!

July is going to be packed with some amazing opportunities to share our music. We've got a couple of private events, which are always a unique experience, allowing us to connect with people in a more intimate setting. But I'm particularly excited about our public dates, including returning to James Ranch on July 3 for what is always a special event. Make sure you plan on having dinner there and get there early. Then, we are returning to the Aztec Pioneer Museum on July 11th. It's always a pleasure to play for folks who appreciate the history and tradition that bluegrass embodies.

And then there's August! The Community Foundation Benefit at the Powerhouse Museum on August 6th is something we really look forward to – it's wonderful to use our music to support such a great cause. We'll also be making our way to a return performance James Ranch on August 14th and Foxfire Farms on August 29th. These outdoor venues, with their stunning backdrops, always create a special atmosphere for our music.

Of course, looking even further out, we've got some incredible festivals on the horizon. We will be returning to the Aztec Highland Games for our third consecutive year and, for the first time, a couple of sets at the Albuquerque Folk Festival. There’s something truly special about the energy of a festival crowd.

For those of you who might be new to The Badly Bent, let me just say, we put our hearts into every note. We’ve been immersed in the bluegrass scene since 1998, and while we love to explore the edges of traditional music, we never stray far from the roots that make bluegrass so special. We pride ourselves on creating a connection with our audience, and honestly, seeing your smiles and tapping feet is what keeps us going. With new songs and renewed energy, we’ re having as much fun as we ever have!

So, take a look at the full schedule on our website – there are plenty of chances to catch us live. I can't wait to see you all out there, sharing some good times and good bluegrass music. Let's get BENT!
